Treatment for addiction problems is very unique and there is no one duration or frequency of treatment recommended. At Montebello Recovery, we serve individuals seeking supportive care and collaboration all the way to individuals seeking intensive addiction treatment services. As such, treatment may consist of a free consultation and brief coordination of care, whereas some folks may be recommended to participate in 90 days of intensive treatment followed by careful stepdown services. After your initial consultation we will have a better understanding of your particular treatment needs and be able to provide an estimated duration of treatment.
Although the city was once known for high crime rates and associated with the illicit drug trade, over the past two decades Medellin has undergone a significant political transformation which has seen the country, and Medellin in particular, achieve dramatic reductions in crime. As such, there has been a revival and Medellin, Colombia has seen a significant increase in tourism ove
The cost of treatment with Montebello Recovery varies depending on our client’s specific recovery goals and treatment needs. We discuss pricing after getting an idea of specific treatment needs, and we promise that our price will never exceed what is quoted at the initial free consultation. Although exact pricing depends on each individual’s specific need, we can guarantee that cost of treatment with Montebello Recovery is only a fraction of what most other addiction treatment programs charge.
No. Insurance companies require diagnoses to pay for services. Having psychological diagnoses on your record can have unintended consequences for you. To avoid feeling pressured to make an unnecessary diagnosis, I do not take insurance. I value your confidentiality and want to make sure that your permanent health record does not include unnecessary information or information that may be used in ways you did not intend. However, using insurance to pay for therapy will likely make your out-of-pocket costs lower and paying out-of-pocket is not feasible for many people, so using insurance for therapy services may be their best option. If you would like to use your insurance, please contact your insurance provider for a list of therapists who take your insurance.
We’ll talk about the records I keep very openly. Records involve consent forms and initial paperwork, a service plan (which include the goals we’ll make together), and session notes. If a diagnosis is made, it will also be included in your records. I tend to keep records brief, and transparency in record-keeping is important to me. If you want to see your records, just ask. You are also entitled to request a copy of your records from any medical or mental health provider
Ideally, family and other loved ones/supports are a welcome addition to the therapeutic process, however, in some instances this may not be the case. As such, early in the consultation/treatment process we will discuss the feasibility of including others in your treatment plan.
Non-12-Step recovery is an evidenced-based holistic treatment approach that recognizes and aims to address the physical, mental, and emotional factors that contribute to addiction. Our approach believes in dignity and respect, and we DO NOT adhere to the idea that a person is "Always an addict" or "Powerless" against their addiction (as is often the case with 12 Step programming). Instead, we emphasize personal autonomy and empowerment, and Non-12 Step treatment does not demand a specific outcome (as opposed to 12 Step programs which adhere strictly to the "Big Book" and 12 steps). Importantly, Non-12 Step recovery is individually tailored and utilizes person-centered goal setting and treatment planning, medical treatment, psychotherapy, and skill-building in order to help clients reach their own personal recovery goals. Finally, treatment is provided by qualified professionals, and not peer led (as is often the case with 12 Step programs.
At Montebello Recovery, we help people overcome addiction to a variety of harmful substances, including alcohol, opiates, stimulants, and cannabis (yes, some people have addictions to cannabis). We also help our clients recover from abusing prescribed pills and other addictive behaviors, such as gambling and food addiction.
